Karen has been working as a full time Realtor Broker for over 48 years, through the good times, the great times, and the bad times. She owned her own business, Senior Realty, for 28 years, located above Union Savings and Loan. She is now helping the third generation of families buying and selling their homes. She is as passionate about homes, land, investment and commercial properties, farms and helping people as she is about her deep love for anything wearing fur, especially foxes and raccoons. She believes that the old-fashioned way of caring for clients is the best way. She has been honored as the Realtor of the Year, a lifetime member of the Five Million Dollar Club, a GRI graduate, holds the Certified Residential Broker degree, served five years as president of the Freeport Landlords Association, active in multiple areas of the Freeport Realtors Association, and was instrumental with the development of the commercial South end of Freeport, helping bring Shopco, Ford Motor, Dairy Queen, Staples, and others into our city. The small pond on the Ford land was scheduled to be filled until Karen saw the muskrats living there, and convinced everyone that that was their home, and it should remain. and they named it ‘Karen’s Pond”, and the muskrats are still happily living there.
